On theaters!

So I've been going to the cinema a lot lately.
Here you have the movies that I watched, rated and with my opinion about them.
{Even though I'm a film student, my opinion is not universal, and does not use to coincide with general opinions..}

The Family

I think this is the first movie that I saw on theaters since I got in Santa Fe. Stars Robert de Niro, and it's a story about a mafia family from NY that moves to France to start a "new life"

It was a fun movie, but I expected more from De Niro, so I guess I will rate it with a 6.5.

Runner, Runner

Justin Timberlake is a poker player who sees imself involves in shady deal.
Do not loose your time watching it, it doesn't worth it {even to see Justin Timberlake...}
4.0, and I am really generous.

The Counselor

Even with so many stars in its cast {Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz, Michael Fassbender or Cameron Diaz}, it is not good enough. It seems like they had a great story that was not good reflected.

Last Vegas

Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, Michael Douglas and Kevin Kline. Not more to say. A group of old friends meet in Vegas to celebrate the wedding of one of them.
It's a good movie that you shouldn't see if you are not prepared to let your tears go down.
For me it as a 7.5-8.

Don Jon

My favorite one of this year, there's no doubt. Watch the trailer, it says everything about it.
For me it's a 9.

Thanks for your comments!!

It's never too late! Happy Halloween!!!

I have various reasons to the title of this entry: first of all, it's never too late to be back, so I am back!! After months without taking care of the blog, here I am again!!
It's never too late to be back in the places that you love, and this is why I am in Santa Fe again. The place that I love with people that I love.
And also, it is never too late to celebrate Halloween!! Here you have y two costumes for this year:

I was Amy Winehouse in the first Halloween party.

{here I am with Johnny Bavo}

And I came from the Amazonas for the second party!!

As you can see, every costume was amazing, I have really creative friends!!

My life has changed a lot lately, there has been a lot of new things, new amazing friends, people who are not anymore... so I can say, kind of, that I am a "refreshed person" {never a new one!!}

So thank you all for reading me!! I'll be back soon!!

    mexican kitchen is back

    As I told several times before, I'm a huge huge huge lover of mexican food. If I had to choose one fav country when it's about food, I couldn't choose between China and Mexico.
    And as I also told you, I miss a lot Santa Fe. I miss a lot of things, but one of the things that I miss most, is the food.
    That mix between american and mexican food is unique! And I really really miss some days on the cafeteria of the university when the menud was baked cheese with pasta or tamales.
    So today, we're going with tamales!!! A really delicious mexican dash, spicy, of course, but REALLY yummy!!

    Actually, there are a lot of different kinds of tamales: pork, chicken... but my favorite is the green chile and cheese tamales!
    Actually, I think this is a more difficult recipe than others that I posted on the blog, so I tried to find the most simple recipe on the Internet, and I found this one on this blog

    {via}

    INGREDIENTS:

    2 cups instant masa
    2-3 cobs of corn (or 1 can)
    2 cups water
    2 vegetable bullion cubes
    1 cup vegetable shortening (optional)
    1 cup diced roasted green chilis
    20-25 large corn husk wrappers
    1 1/2 cup crumbled queso fresco (farmers's cheese)
    1 cup chopped cilantro

    {via}

    DIRECTIONS:
    • soak corn husks in water
    • steam corn on the cob for 20-30 min
    • warm water to dissolve bullion cubes (or use 2 cups veggie broth)
    • mix together masa, broth, corn and shortening so that the consistency is thick like mashed potatoes
    • take 3-4 husks and rip into long strips that are about 1/4 in.
    • place about 3-4 Tbsp masa into the center of the corn husk
    • top with desired amount of green chilies, cheese, and cilantro (avoid overstuffing)
    • fold over the two lateral sides of the husk
    • fold over the top and then the bottom flap
    • make sure the bottom overlaps the top
    • tie husk string so that it is taught but not too tight
    • repeat until ingredients are gone
    • place in steamer for 45 min to 1 hr (or until tamales puffed up)
    • serve hot with red and/or green sauce

    I think it's time to dedicate some time to the kitchen!!
    Lately, I have hardly any appetite. I can spend the whole day without eating, and I don't even remember that I didn't eat that day.
    So I decided that maybe I was boring of the same food almost every week, so I wanted to look for some new recipes, and today I want to show you a "simple" and delicious recipe I found, enjoy it!!

    chicken and cheese lasagne roll-ups {recipe via ivillage}

    this is the simplest one, check it out!

    INGREDIENTS:

    3 cups chopped cooked chicken
    1 cup Ricotta cheese
    1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese {I don't use this ingredient}
    1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
    1/4 cup milk
    1/8 teaspoon white pepper
    8 lasagne noodles, cooked and drained
    2 cups Prego spaghetti sauce

    DIRECTIONS:

    1 - In medium bowl, combine chicken, cheeses, milk and pepper.
    2 - Spread 1/2 cup mixture on each lasagne noodle; roll jelly-roll fashion
    3 - In a 13 by 9-inch backing dish, spread one cup spaghetti sauce
    4 - Arrange lasagne rolls, seam-side down in sauce in baking dish
    5 - Top with remaining spaghetti sauce
    6 - Cover
    7 - Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 minutos or until hot

    And, of course, you can serve it with additional Parmesan cheese... YUMMY!!!

    passional red VS sweet pink

    what about these two colors? It's said that, usually, people have in their closet or one color, or the other one, this means: red team or pink team. It seems like every color reflects your own personality, and you can't have both, and blablabla... BULLSHIT
    I wear both, I love both, and I think you can be really sweet on red and very passional on pink.
    And when I say "I use both", I mean that, sometimes, I use them even TOGETHER.
    If you remember some of my past posts of breaking rules, you should remember the #1 rule of "Breaking rules" rule: BREAK RULES.
    I will do a post about breaking rules with pink and red together soon, because it really makes me mad when people say: pink and red?? no way!!
    But for the moment, I just bring you two outfits:

    yes... and leopard print!!
    Who's so brave to wear any of these outfits?!?! Wanna see pictures girls!!
